J-Tech, along with our New Zealand parent company Jenkins Group, have been involved with the support the commercialisation of APORO from inception. From humble beginnings in a New Zealand kiwifruit shed to the first commercial install in March 2018, APORO has grown exponentially and is now sold in 8 countries around the world.
APORO is designed and manufactured by Robotics Plus in New Zealand and their engineering team work on constant improvements and continue to push the boundaries of innovation and design, building and rapidly improving APORO along the way to make it the success that is today.
After selling our first APORO in Australia back in 2020, we had the unenviable task of installing it during Covid, but since that first install, the interest and success of APORO continues to grow and we now have them installed around the country
Of course, the journey continues. Based only on current numbers, APORO expects to celebrate packing 2 billion apples by March 2025 but with stonefruit + other fruit varieties and the continuous innovation of APORO, the numbers are unlimited.
